Coffee Jelly
Preparation time: 20 minutes | Chilling time: 12 hours
Ingredients
10 tsp gelatin powder (30g)
5 cups boiling water
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp coffee powder
2 cups heavy cream or all-purpose cream
1/2 cup condensed milk
Preparation
Dissolve Gelatin:
In a large mixing bowl, sprinkle 10 teaspoons of gelatin powder over 5 cups of boiling water. Whisk vigorously until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
Add Coffee and Sugar:
Stir in 3 tablespoons each of sugar and coffee powder. Continue whisking until both are fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Set the Gelatin:
Pour the coffee gelatin mixture into a 25x39cm rectangular pan. Allow it to cool at room temperature. Once cooled, cover with cling wrap and refrigerate overnight to fully set the gelatin.
Prepare Cream Mixture:
In a large container, whisk together 2 cups of heavy cream and 1/2 cup of condensed milk until well combined and smooth.
Cut and Combine:
Using a sharp knife, cut the set coffee gelatin into small cubes. Gently fold these coffee jelly cubes into the cream mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
Chill Again:
Cover the container and return it to the fridge to chill. Let it cool for at least an hour before serving to enhance the flavors and texture.
