Filipino Spaghetti

Experience a unique twist on classic spaghetti with this Filipino-style recipe, which is known for its sweet and savoury flavours. This spaghetti combines ground beef, red hotdogs, and a rich, creamy sauce, topped with plenty of cheese. It's a festive dish in the Philippines which is often served at birthday parties, Christmas holidays and family gatherings.

Tip #1

Proper Browning: For the best flavour, make sure to brown the ground beef well before adding the sauces. This enhances the meat's flavour and texture, ensuring it doesn't just boil in the sauce.

Tip #2

Simmering the Sauce: Allow the sauce to simmer gently to develop the flavours better. This step also helps to thicken the sauce, making it cling to the noodles more effectively.

Tip #3

Adjusting Sweetness: Filipino spaghetti is sweet, but you can adjust the amount of condensed milk based on your preference. Start with less and add more if needed after tasting.
